Who we are

Last updated 4 November 2026. Lexlate translates the text inside product images on this website and draws it back into the same place. This policy describes the account, the image you upload, and what we do not store when you pay.

Data we process

If you create an account: email address and a password hash. The password itself is not stored.

Images you upload in the studio, the text read from them, and the translated image returned to your browser. Free previews, and Starter and above, keep the erased image briefly so you can redraw. Lite does not.

Subscription status and how many images you have used this month.

An IP address for rate limits, and cookies for the session, the language, and the free allowance.

Waffo handles the card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay for a subscription. This site does not store card numbers.

Why we process it

To create your account, translate the images you upload, count the free and paid allowances, and send you to Waffo checkout if you subscribe.

We do not sell personal information.

Processors

Waffo Pancake is the merchant of record for website subscriptions. Card numbers stay on their checkout page.

If Google Cloud Vision is configured, the image is sent to Google so the text can be read.

Lite, Starter, and free previews send the extracted text to DeepSeek. Growth and Pro send it to DeepL. DeepSeek receives it when DeepL is unavailable or the language is Thai, Vietnamese, or Indonesian. DeepSeek also receives the image to judge which lines are printed on the product, and when reading the text itself is the fallback.

Replicate receives the image and a mask only when LaMa is enabled. Otherwise erasure runs on our worker.

Hosting, Postgres, Redis, and object storage keep the data in the region chosen at deploy time.

Cookies

The session cookie keeps you signed in for about 30 days. The language cookie remembers the interface for about a year. Without a subscription, a cookie of about one day works with the server to count 3 free previews a day.

These cookies are required for the site to work. Turning them off breaks sign-in, language, or the free allowance.

Retention and deletion

The erased image used for a redraw is kept for about 2 hours, then deleted. Lite does not keep one.

Job files on the worker disk are kept for about 7 days. If object storage is used, the bucket lifecycle applies.

A finished image you save or download while signed in stays on your account for 30 days so you can download it again. A preview is not kept. Deleting the account deletes these images. A translation you do not save or download is returned only to your browser.

Account data stays until you ask us to delete it. Email the contact address above from the same address you registered. We handle that within 30 days.

Payment records stay with Waffo, not on this site.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the account data we hold, and to export your email and subscription status. Write from the address you registered.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13. If we learn that we have collected a child’s personal information, we delete it.

International transfers

Images, or the text read from them, are sent to the reading, translation, and payment services listed above. Those services may process them outside your country.

Changes

We post a new version on this page and change the date at the top.
